June 4, 2011, Patna: JD(U) Lok Sabha MP Maheshwar Hazari has again received a SMS from an unidentified number, threatening to kill him. This is second time in a week that Samastipur legislature has received such text message. Earlier, on May 30, Hazari received an SMS, demanding Rs. 50 lakh from him or face the killing of his son. Accordingly an FIR was registered at Sachivalaya PS against unknown persons.
Taking the matter seriously then, Bihar Directory General of Police (DGP) Neelmani had directed the Sachivalaya police station to file an FIR and investigate the matter at the highest level. Police had also arrested a person named Manish in the case but nothing concrete was found.
